Arbonne began with a line of 19 Swiss-formulated skin care products, developed at the Arbonne Institute of Research and Development (AIRD). Over the years, the product portfolio has grown to include aromatherapy, cosmetics, nutrition and much more.

Arbonne is proud of its Swiss heritage but today, we are a global company, sourcing the globe for the finest ingredients available. Just as our company has evolved and grown, so too, has our product development.

Arbonne Research and Development Laboratories (ARDL)

The 1,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art lab at the corporate Home Office in Irvine, California is where Arbonne's chemists create in-house product prototypes, test formulas for stability and efficacy, and conduct sensory testing early in the product development process. The diverse and talented team of chemists, senior scientists and experts in the formulation of personal care and nutritional products works under the guidance of Arbonne Sr. VP Product Development, Dr. Peter Matravers and under the executive leadership of Michael D'Arminio, Sr. VP and Chief Creative Officer.

Today, Arbonne products are not only world-class, they are crafted with expertise, ingredients and technology not previously available.

 

Michael D'Arminio

Arbonne Sr. VP and Chief Creative Officer

Michael D'Arminio is Arbonne's Chief Creative Officer and leads the Product Development, Product Marketing, Online Marketing and Creative teams. Michael has more than 18 years of experience as a marketing executive, helping shape the marketing and creative vision for some of the world's best-known beauty brands. Michael began his career in global advertising and worked at Ogilvy and Mather and Donna Karan International. More recently, Michael was Chief Creative Officer at philosophy, and VP of Global Marketing and Creative for Unilever Cosmetics International, Coty Prestige and L'Oreal. Michael received his degree in Marketing from Hofstra University.

Dr. Peter Matravers

Arbonne Sr. VP, Product Development and Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Peter Matravers, who holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, guides Arbonne's Product Development and Regulatory teams in creating extraordinary and innovative products. Peter has more than 25 years of skincare and consumer product development experience, including proprietary ingredient development, creative formulations and new methodologies in product performance testing. Peter is also the recipient of over 20 U.S. and international patents in these areas.
